Weaver Cup Cross Country Competition

On Friday 25th May, children from year 4, 5 and 6 competed against children from Okehampton, North Tawton and Chagford Primary Schools in the Weaver Cup Cross Country. The team performed brilliantly and even came back with a medal. Jack Granger was the 3rd boy to cross the finish line, taking home the bronze medal. Well done Jack! Overall the team finished in 3rd place out of seven teams. A huge congratulations to all of the children.

Of course, the event couldn't have taken place without the kind permission of Jim and Becky Mawle and the help of the parent volunteers and drivers. A massive 'thank you' to all of you with helping the event to be another success!

Year 5 &6 Athletics West Devon Finals.
On the 26th January, Years 5 and 6 went to the West Devon Finals for athletics in Tavistock. Both teams (A and B) did exceptionally well. All of the children were incredibly supportive of their team mates, cheering and congratulating each other throughout the event. The A team performed extremely well and came 3rd overall. Unfortunately, our B team finished outside of the top 3, but it was a fantastic achievement to make it to the finals. We are very proud of both teams for participating in the extremely competitive contest between the schools! A big ‘thank you’ must also go to the parents who provided transport to and from the event.

Year 5 & 6 Netball West Devon Finals
On the Monday 29th January, the West Devon Netball Finals took place at Parklands Leisure Centre indoor netball court. We played against three different teams including Okehampton and Whitchurch Primary Schools. We tried very hard, but the other teams were that little bit stronger than us! Nevertheless, the team never gave up and displayed fantastic sportsmanship throughout the event. Well done to all of the netballers! Thank you to all the parents who gave up their free time to provide transport to the event.
